GENDER PROJECT IS:
A social photography project that inquires into people’s understanding and perception of identity.
Aiming to enhance the idea of fluidity and promote intersectionality.
Creating a chain of exhibitions across the globe, seeking to establish active and inclusive networks.
THE HEART OF GENDER IS:
People who choose to share their stories are the essence of Gender Project, which is not “just another exhibition”. It’s the representation of a diverse, vulnerable, powerful community who spontaneously come together in all its beauty. The portraits are captured during an hour-long intimate exchange, where the artist and the subject, facing each other, talk through their understanding of identity in a safe, non-judgemental space.
The exchange is deep, intimate and remains private.
Just a small extract of those conversations has been shared, upon consent, through this Documentary.
